I'm putting in some stuff to keep out spammers and possible password hackers.  The spam stuff is something you can never get rid of and can be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, but password hackers are another story.  So, in an attempt to protect everyone's accounts, which of the following would you prefer?

• a CAPTCHA form when you log in, to verify you're a person (the thing with the goofy letter you have to type in)
• a password policy that requires a new password every X days
• a password policy that requires a few special things for instance: one capital letter, one number and one non-standard character

Next up is the text editor.  I'm intending to switch over to a more "typical" text-editor for you all to use.  Meaning it will essentially be a text-box with a handful of buttons that insert markup tags for you.  Bold and Italics, for example.

THIS IS THE DAY the workshops have been scheduled to be workable again, a day i've been waiting long and hard for.  i dont remember if it was clayt or kirk or kar who was heading the workload on that part of the site, but i'm curious what all is going on.  excited to get back to work in there.

I’ve already critiqued five stories and have posted two of my own.  The problem is that they don’t show up on the little “recent submissions” screen, and nobody has reviewed them.  What up?

Just two quickies:

1) There should be a more general forum for folks who want to post about writing.  Currently the forums are all based on the Lessons from Chuck, Self Assignment, etc. I think it would be helpful to have a more general forum section where folks can post about writers, writing, etc.

2) The Writer's Resource might want to include Neil Gaiman's pep talk from NaNoWriMo.

Quick suggestion here:

Could we get Google search capability in the search field?  I was able to find the fashion parade thread from google ("fashion parade" cult) after some other members were unable to find it using the built in search function.

This is the thread to post all your the bugs, annoyances, and tweaks you've noticed and think the site needs fixing on.  Only talk about speed issues here if you have suggestions for us to fix them.  And feel free to nitpick here, but just don't point out shit like, "I don't like Chuck's face on the header.  Can we fix that?" 

You know the drill.  List away!
