Why can't you delete people's accounts if they ask you to? I'm sure there's some illegality in that denial. If someone no longer wishes to have their stuff here, which, by the way, they can edit out in all totality, then surely you could have the thing, the whatsit, the thing, I'm just typing now, you know what it is I mean, when it's like a goodness? The... the charity, maybe, the goodness will do, the goodness to just make it all easier for them, and say, sure, you know, yeah, we'll get rid of your stuff for you, it only takes us about ten minutes, it would take you WEEKS to trudge through all the shit you've heaped on us, as we begged you to stop, we'd be fucking delighted to get rid of you! Why can't you just do that, you know?

When I click on the "Private Message this User" in any profile, I'm redirected to an empty inbox, instead of a message composer. Thought I should let you know.

What's the deal? All signatures have been deleted. Why?

Just want to fill you folks in, so we don't have to answer a bunch of questions on the same subject.

Long story short, some of our files mysteriously got deleted. We're still trying to figure out exactly how that happened but at least no data was lost. Meaning, all posts and stuff should still be here, but any files that were uploaded or attached recently are gone.

So, if you come across a post of yours that has a broken attachment, that is why. Same goes for our stuff. If you come across an article or interview where the images are suspiciously absent, you now know why.

I am a Mac user. I use both Firefox and Safari.

Whenever I click on the link to download a user's submission it kicks me to another page

So if I am on this page:

and I click on the link to download the submission, I get kicked to this page:

http://chuckpalahniuk.net/files/workshop/

AND the file does NOT download.

As you may or may not have noticed, We were down for a little bit today. Here is what is new...

First, we have a new text-editor.
The old one is gone as it proved too difficult for many people, plus as many of you noted it didn't work with your inline spell check. As such, from this point forward all spelling errors will result in an immediate ban. So what's different?

• Functionality more-or-less remains the same.
• The ability to embed videos has been greatly improved, which should no longer result in broken threads. Additionally, you may embed videos from any of the following sites: YouTube, Google, GameVideos, DailyMotion, MetaCafe, GameTrailers, CollegeHumor, MySpace, 5min, Howcast . If there are any other sites you would like to see added let me know and I'll see if I can make it happen. To insert a video simply paste the URL of the video into the box that pops up when you click the video button.

That was the title of another thread of mine that I was trying to bump. But for some reason or another whenever it's posted in, it won't bump to the top of the page. Any one have an idea as to why this would happen?

Hey, so the chatroom has not been modded in a while because I overlooked it when we moved to Drupal. Kirk reinstated our previous mods and we have added a few new ones.

Apparently there has been a lot of spamming and hostility in there. Franc called it a combat zone, but bravely accepted his assignment as a new chat mod! Also accepting modship of the chat are:
