Contacting Chuck - Fanmail Window Currently Closed
Our Policy On Contacting Chuck
Fanmail Window Has Closed - November 2006
Chuck is currently not accepting fan mail of any sort. He re-opened his fan mail window for October 2006. He has now busy with the monumental task of replying back to every letter he received within that month. Please respect Chuck's wishes and the rules of this site and do not send Chuck a letter, now that October has ended. Doing so will only put your letter on the fast track to a waste paper basket.
[Chuck signs books at St. Helen's Book Shop]
Remember, this is Chuck are are talking about. He is easily one of the most gracious people I have ever met, and he cares deeply about his fans. Therefore you can bet that he will be re-opening the fan mail again sometime in the future. When that will be, however, I cannot say. But Chuck has a close-knit policy with our website, so these windows will always be announced ahead of time.
Until Chuck designates what his next fan mail window will be, don't bother grilling us for a shipping address or the proper way to send mail. On the one hand, Chuck only accepts mail via his literary agent, Edward Hibbert. When Chuck is accepting fan mail, like always, we will have the full procedure and mailing address for Chuck's agent fully available on this site.
If it's a signed book you're after, your best bets are to either show up to a reading the next time Chuck's on tour (this will sometimes be up to three times a year!), or to check out our awesome affiliate, St. Helens Book Shop, a local Oregon store that Chuck signs books for. St. Helens accept orders for autographed Chuck books all the time. If you'd like your order personalized, it could take up to 6-8 weeks, depending on Chuck's schedule. Either way, St. Helens Book Shop will advise you of your order status and will be in contact with any customers about possible delays.
So as you see, Chuck makes himself available in many ways. And this website is the best way to keep track of them.
I am waiting in order to send my letter to him... wich reminded me that I need to start writing it in order to dispatch it if you give us the green flag. But probably he is busy with snuff. The funny thing is that it closed on october. and I join on november  (tell me about bad timing)
Anyways.. "La esperanza es lo ultimo que se pierde"
no, it's a good question. but sorry, waza
chuck does not read unsolicited mss, because of the threat of intelectual property suits. in fact, i think he and twentieth century fox are still in legality over fight club, sued by some kids with too much thinking going on over how they invented fight club years ago and it wasnt chuck's original idea and whatever. in fact, when the workshop started originally, chuck was interested in reading and reviewing one submission per month but ultimately couldnt.
so letters are just letters, personal and not official. but. a lot of the time, the missouri review does offer feedback on manuscript submissions.
good luck

I would like to hear that Janice Dickinson was assasinated... Some people are just like slinkies not really good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
