Since I have nothing to do over the summer, I am taking suggestions to watch any anime that anyone here has to recomend excluding the ones mentioned above since I have/am trying to see them. Also try to make sure that it's on youtube.com because that's where I get my anime fix.
i dont feel qualified to give a recommendation since i still dont know the difference between manga and anime
where does Japanime fit into the whole heirarchy ?
As God as my witness...I thought turkeys could fly...

Manga are the Japanese version comic books, you read them. Anime is audio-visual, could be a series or a movie. "Japanime" was a shortened version of "Japanimation" witch was slang for their particular style of animating/drawing. The slang has been even more shortened to just Anime.
Also, feel free to list off any anime that you've seen or ask for any advice.
If you've seen the whole eva series then you should also see the 2 movies.
Spirited Away is excellent, just about everything Miyazaki has done is good.
Ghost in the shell is good. innocence is weird but good, kind of like Eco meets blade runner.
Vampire Hunter D is a classic, Bloodlust is good, and much prettier.
I also suggest Akira, Neo-Tokyo, Robot Carnival, 3x3 Eyes, Ninja Scroll (I can only recommend the first one, the rest are probably crap)... Hmm, I'm sure there's more.
i don't generally follow series very much, except for eva, but I found Lain, and FLCL to be interesting while I was watching them. Silent Mobius was okay as well, but the movie was better.
Well, Ghost in the Shell has developed itself into quite the little franchise over the last couple years. The original movie is great, the second movie is good but it gets a little dense, I like it dense but at times it's just characters sparring eachother with obscure quotes and gets a little tired. I only saw a couple episodes of the first series, which was decent but didn't really keep my interest, and I haven't seen any of the second series.
How is Ghost In The Shell? I really want to watch that.
I really love it. It's a series that really makes you think somethimes. Plus witty banter between Major and Batou is something not to be skipped over. The tachikoma's alone are worth watching the series.
I've seen both movies. Neither of them made a lick of sense to me. The series (both 1st and 2nd gig) are much more understandable. The videogame ain't bad, and the soundtracks are killer.

I saw first GITS, It wasn't so complicated.
AKIRA needs to be seen by all anime fans
and if youve seen all the episodes of Evangelion check out End of Evangelion (movie)
End of Evangelion pretty much remakes the the last to episodes of the series WITHOUT THE SUCK!!!!
and if your up for a laugh but a really confusing and deep story check out FLCL (fooly cooly) there are only 6 episodes but trust me you need to watch all 6 more then once to completely understand wtf is going on
you should watch Fooly cooly [furi kuri in japan] and the abreviation is FLCL.
its a mini series anime, and its AMAZING. its my favorite anime.
it has alot of awesome japanese music [such as the pillows who plays at the ending credits]
also adult swim on cartoon network started playing it at 1:30 on saturdays, since last saturday. but im pretty sure you can find it online. i download all my anime from narutofan.com which it costs 5dollars a month. but you have unlimited downloads.

Check out all the Vampire Hunter Ds
Devilman
Devillady
Akira is always good.
Both Ninja Scrolls
Golgo 13
Inuyasha (adultswim)
I personally thought Ghost in a shell was boring but that just seems to be me.
Those are the only ones I ever liked. I'm not into all the robot shit or anime for that matter.
A lot of it looks really cool but it bores me.
I'm not hatin on anime or anything but I've never been impressed with what I've seen (although its only been a handful)
Its the poor animation that turns me off. I've seen Akira and loved it because of the amazing animation work in it but I havn't been able to find any others that match the freakin awesomeness of the animation in Akira. Suggestions? Please?
I'm not a big fan of anime, but there have been a few I've liked and a couple I have absolutely loved.
Miyazaki's work is amazing, I watched both Spirited Away and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind twice in a row when I first saw them. Princess Monanoke was also really good and Kiki's Delivery Service was okay.
The only other two anime movie's I have seen that I liked were Blood: The Last Vampire and Afro Samurai (starring Samuel L., which was pretty cool)
I don't like your face.
Coyote Ragtime Show's pretty good. Getting into it now.
Because I love. I, who am not loved in return. I have a love that is far deeper than the empty gasps and convulsions of brutish coupling. Shall I speak of her? Shall I speak of my bride? She has no eyes to flirt or promise. But she still sees all. Sees and understands with a wisdom that is god-like in its scale. I stand at the gates of her intellect and I am blinded by the light within. How stupid I must seem to her. How child-like and uncomprehending. Her soul is clean, untainted by the snares and ambiguities of emotion. She is untouched by joy or sorrow. I worship her though I am not worthy. I cherish the purity of her disdain. She does not respect me. She does not fear me. She does not love me. They think she is hard, and cold, those who do not her. They think she is lifeless and without passion. They do not know her. She has not touched them. She touches me, and I am touched by God, by destiny. The whole of existence courses through her. I worship her. I am her slave. No freedom ever was so sweet.
Yu Yu Hakusho is good. The whole team is a solid cast of characters. Hiei is the most enjoyable.

Deathnote that is my all time favorite
I liked it, but I think writers tried too hard sometimes with inventing plot twists. I heard Code Geass is a pretty cool guy, it haz gears in it and dosen't affraid of anything.
No it had the right amount of twists with no twists then ending would of been too predoctable and pointless.
also
Doesent afraid of anything?
please tell me you were joking
