My Fellow Outcasts

Okay. So I’ve been roaming around on here for about a month, deciding whether or not to include myself in the ribald antics of the people that grace this site or to just mind my own fucking business and stick to the workshop and lessons. I’ve posted here and there on threads that I find amusing and started a few on opinions of authors I want to read (which people have been most helpful). The coolness to asshole ratio on here is about the same as in everyday life so I suppose I’ll try to hang around (even though the words ‘chat room’ make my testes shrivel).
So here’s me:
Got me a wife that teaches computer science at a local university and in her spare time skates in the ARRG Roller Derby league. Five feet of magenta haired badass.
Got a kid who’s a jock and wears Hollister. He cracks me up, probably his only way to be a rebel living in a house with two old punk rock parents. Honor roll too, quite proud of both of them.
Me. I work in a law firm that pays me to sit on my ass where I write for the majority of the day. If I ever get published they get the thanks for allowing me to earn money for practicing my hand.
Do I write? Obviously, see above, though I’m a hack and I’ll proudly wear that title till a better day comes.
I love old punk rock (I’m old, saw both Minor Threat and the Misfits with Glen the midget leading the band), cigarettes and Arizona Ice Tea.
Love to read, will read the back of a fucking shampoo bottle if that’s all there is.
Been a bouncer in rock clubs, a bouncer in strip clubs, road security for a few major acts and too many smaller ones.
Drugs are fun and should be used by everyone for at least a short time (remember your Blake!). I myself recently quit selling which means they’re no longer free, so that lightens my consumption.
Hope to meet some new people and steal all their best lines.
