Hi there
Hey everybody, didn't really do much lurking before I joined considering I wasn't exactly new to Chuck Palahnuik's books. I've read Fight Club, Haunted, Stranger Than Fiction, Invisible Monsters, Rant, Survivor, Lullaby, and Diary. I really did love them all, but my favorites were Fight Club, Haunted, and Diary.
Anyway, a smidget about me: I'm from Hawaii, but currently going to school in Santa Rosa, California. I'm also 18 and an art major.
Welcome.

you spelled his name wrong.
So ignorant are most landsmen of some of the plainest and most palpable wonders of the world, that without some hints touching the plain facts, historically and otherwise, of the fishery, they might scout at Moby-Dick as a monstrous fable, or still worse and more detestable, a hideous and intolerable allegory.
Hey Doll, welcome to the cult! What other writers do you like?
Also, what's your favorite food?
I've been a member here for about 5 years? Six? My favorite writers besides Chuck are (in no particular order) Will Christopher Baer, Craig Clevenger, A.M. Homes, J.D. Salinger, John Irving, Cormac McCarthy, Flannery O'Conner, Doona Tartt, Michael Pollan, Jon Krakauer..
Eggs and avocados are my favorite foods.

@ nathaniel parker: I apologize for my typos? I make a lot of them.
@ Mirka: I guess my favorite food would be some kinda pasta. I'm a vegitarian, Italian-food fiend. =D I haven't been able to do much leisure reading due to an oppressive english class filled with (good, but not particularly interesting to me) Charles Dickens. I'd really love to start reading some Vonnegut again, though.
I love Vonnegut too. I can't believe I forgot him!
Here's some noodles for ya!

Noodles look amazing, +1.
Semi Gandhi quote sig, +1. Your score is 2 higher!
I'd give a point for the Vonnegut, but I've only read one of his books, so I can't really comment, Hombre sin Nacion.

I quoted Moeron in my sig. :)
Thanks for the points! How about you say hi to the new person since you're in her thread. :)

Sorry, I get mom-ish sometimes.
Oh, new person, my name is pronounced MEEEEERKA, not MUUUUUURKA. Just thought I'd point that out before murka gets stuck in you head!
