Thats right, the man is going back on tour here in the US.  Mostly through southern states from what I could tell.  Regardless the tour will be starting off in June on the 17th in Phoenix, Arizona and ending July 5th in Atlanta, Georgia.  for more info I suggest hitting the official tomwaits website at tomwaits.com  and for info on exact tour stops go to anti.com

Holy Shit, Tulsa is so fucking drivable.

Any word on when tickets will go on sale? I couldn't find anything on either site (I even checked Ticketmaster)

Anyone in the Kansas City area want a ride down to the Tulsa, OK show? This is assuming I can get tickets (as they notoriously sell out in minutes), but I'm definitely going if anyone is interested.

If i could get a hold of tom waits i would let him know he could crash on my coutch if he played a show in pittsburgh... But im pretty sure tom waits would get MORE drunk and crap on furniture...and we cant have that my apartment isnt properly ventilated.

I had a cute girl ask me to see this with her.  I almost emphatically said yes, untill I saw the price tag for tickets.  Its $86 dollars for a ticket in Dallas!  I told her for that amount of money I expect the man to say something along the lines of "this song is dedicated to you, yes YOU Michael Weston Henry, whom I'll be making a sandwich for after the show."

 

she thought this was funny.  I wasn't laughing.

I'm in. And I managed to get a damn good seat, too.

Seriously, I have not been this excited in a long time.

 

labelleza, Yeah, that video is great. If I remember right a lot of people got down on Mr. Waits for being drunk, but the joke was that Waits was just doing his stage persona, i.e not drunk at all. Good stuff.

Beware UbikRex. The tickets for the Tulsa show had some pretty strict anti-scalping measures in place. Not sure if this was a nation wide thing, but I think it is:

1) There are no paper tickets issued in advance.

2) Every ticket must be picked up at the door the day of the show. The person must provide photo ID and the same credit card used to buy the ticket in order to get their physical paper tickets

3) Each person is limited to buying only two tickets

 

I just don't want you to get ripped off by a Craigslist scam. But good luck and have fun at the show, if this isn't a scam.
