I'm trying to remember if this is from a Palahniuk book or not. It talked about entire families commiting suicide en masse. One example I remember was a family gathering in the garage to all sit in the car with the engine running. Can someone tell if this is Palahniuk or not and if so which book?

a mass family suicide--a creedish cult--was in survivor and peter wilmot attempted suicide by sleeping in his car in the garage with the engine running (he pissed his seat, for that matter) in diary.  maybe your memory is meshed among more than one chuck story.  or maybe it's not chuck.

Wasn't that Haunted? With the earth doing a mass exodus to Venus . . . Y'know with the goth kids.

Chuck likes his suicides apparently.

Yeah I think you are right.  Something about one boy and girl not doing it and sticking behind I think.  I'm not exactly sure, but I do vaugely remember that now.

Obsolete, pg. 387 in Haunted. One of my favorite stories.
