Schiphol.

I know, I talk about it all the time, but my boyfriend's coming tomorrow!!
At 2:30PM I'll be getting on the train to the airport! It'll take 2,5 hours instead of 2 hours to get there, since they're working on crap in Amsterdam, so we have to go.. around it basically. I don't mind though, I've got my iPod and I'll be bringing books to read, so I'll be fine.

Ahhh, Schiphol, the place I both love and hate passionately. Tomorrow will be the love-part.
I'm so excited to walk around there again. People-watching before my boyfriend arrives, peeking at stuff in the stores.
This used to be our meetup place:

But I don't wanna do that anymore. I wanna watch him from behind the glass wall at baggage claim. Creepy, I know.
We'll have dinner at the airport, and then take such a train home:

So yeah, I probably won't be online for 3 weeks.
Pictures will be taken for sure, so except some to be posted after those 3 weeks!

We were there today, returning from Havana !
Nice international airport, with very laidback security agents (which doesn't mean they don't do their job correctly).
oh yes, the love/hate of airports is something i know very well too.
have a lovely time with your boyfriend, sweetie.
Awesome, Imke. Have a blast.
Yay, Ludwig and Barbara!! Hope you had an amazing time on your honeymoon!!
Thanks, Barbara!
And thank you, Mark!
Will do, nooo problem.
I don't see why you can't come online here for 3 weeks. I mean, I understand wanting to spend as much time as humanly possible with the guy but you could pop on and see what's happening while he's in the commode or something. Or better yet, have him sign up and then sit in his lap and point at different things for him to click on here.
I think, at the very least, we'd all like a happy huggy kissy pic of you two before you run off to be loveydovey.

la habana? i'd love to see any photos you or your wife took there
my father's birthplace.
YAY IMKE! as mike said, at least one huggy picture before you disappear, or i'll fear you were kidnapped at the 'construction hurdles' in amsterdam

It's not about not wanting to be online because it takes time away from 'being with' him, but because I don't really care about it anymore when he's finally around again.
But yeah, maybe I'll pop on with ze fella and show him stuff if he wants.
[And perhaps, a picture shall be posted too!]

you ever go there, berto? it was wonderful, fantastic music everywhere. pics will come asap. i have to scan about 700 negatives of the wedding first.
i've never been. i'll go once there's a significant political regime change. my grandfather passed a couple of years ago and willed that i and the other three grandchildren bury his ashes on the old family land someday.
i'm very much looking forward to visiting someday, when conditions are right.
youuu've got a lot of scanning to do!
i knoooooow. i´ve planned nothing but scanning for tomorrow. maybe we´ll sneaking out to see ice age though.
before we went i didn´t imagine that i was such a green and beautiful island. people were friendly too, especially out in the country. we even visited some farmer and i saw mango trees! lovely.
mmm. had i know i would have asked you to smuggle a fresh mango or two my way
did you and ludwig get to sample guava paste candy?
oh, no! did we miss out? we tried various little pastries, soaked in sugary water and out in vinjales we´ve been in a lovely little restaurant that served roasted pork with lime. i usually don´t go for pork but that was simply delicious. otherwise i found the food rather on the greasy side but you could eat wonderful fruits. best pineapples i ever had.
too, you just made me very hungry.
hooray!
