Big Audio Dynamite...

What better place to talk about this than the new blog feature? Inspired by Jill's Tit, I'm going to try to put together an all-Cultie audio play from a couple of scripts I have. One (the experimental test balloon) is a 10-minute play that was a finalist in the Actors' Theatre of Louisville's National 10-Minute Play competition (something I really want to get back into...).It's called "Magic in the Seventh Inning Stretch", and it deals with a hokey marriage proposal gone horribly wrong.

I'll need three Culties who read well to put the project together, and possibly one who may be able to provide sound effects, although I'll cross that bridge later.

If this one works out successfully, I'll move on to the more ambitious project, "Holding Patterns", a one-act play which works well on the stage, but I think was designed to be a radio play, all voices and sounds...and I'll need more culties for that.

So... if you're interested, let me know. I'll post something on the boards about this as well...let's make audio magic!

Great idea. Wish i could help but, alas, I've no way to record my voice. Good luck.

I can read and record my voice, so I will put myself up for candidacy.

When i was in 7th grade, this one guy kept scawling Big Audio Dynamite into his desk with a knife.

I'd like to take part, but I have an accent...Erm...

I think the more accents in this thing, the better. I will not be taking part, just putting in my two cents. Carry on.

When will you crazy Americans realise that it is you who have the accents...

monkeywright

Actually, accents could make my second play really interesting...the first play kinda requires a NEw York accent, as it's set in NY. Jeanne-Helene!

This sounds exciting. I'd like to be the token Australian if you'll have me.

Ah! What???  I know I watched too many Al Pacino movies, but my accent is definitely French. And the worst is that I can't figure out how to get rid of it.

Those of you who want to participate should leave samples of your voice here for Monkeywright to listen too and then choose. If anything it's so I can listen to all the cult chick's accents as well as Riddlegimp's. ;)

Héhé I'm ok with that idea. But are we supposed to read something? or to simply talk?

Smartazboy

Whatever floats your boat... or mine. ;)

read some dialogue from your favorite movie. Or your least favorite movie.
